Claims Procedure

Whenever the shipment is insured, you should first contact your insurance company and report the loss or damage to them then arrange for a survey of the damaged cargo (preferably while the cargo is still untouched). If possible, this should be a joint survey together with the owner, carrier etc. The extent and possible cause of the damage must be considered before submitting a fully documented claim which is a form that the client fills wishing to instruct Oceanic Marine for a new assignment/job
