Cargo Surveillance

Oceanic Marine was appointed by the Association of Kenya Insurers (AKI) to manage the cargo surveillance scheme with effect from 1st October 2009  on behalf of their members (local insurance companies). The scheme was established over 25 years ago with the objective of preventing or minimizing handling, warehousing and transit losses for locally insured cargoes valued Ksh 250,000 and above including bagged cargo of up to 1,000 metric tonnes. This involves inspection and surveillance of imports at all entry points including Mombasa port, various CFSs and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi. We also carryout inspections at final destinations on goods received with discrepancies.
